CHAMONIX, France (Feb. 4) - Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) was surprised by his monster flight off the final jump and finished eighth in the second Audi FIS Alpine World Cup downhill staged in Chamonix. Canadians Jan Hudec, Erik Guay and Benjamin Thomsen piled into the top five finishing first, third and fifth. Erik Fisher (Middleton, ID) produced another strong performance with 12th for the second straight day.

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Feb. 4) - Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) produced a stunning, on-edge downhill run in Garmisch to win the historic 50th Audi FIS Alpine World Cup of her career. The victory, Vonn's 25th in downhill, came after trailing at the first four race intervals and surviving a near crash on a bumpy side hill called the Ice Hang. It was Vonn's ninth win this season and places her soundly in the World Cup overall lead by nearly 500 points.

CHAMONIX, France (Feb. 3) - Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) came within .01 of victory in the first of two Audi FIS Alpine World Cup downhills in Chamonix as Klaus Kroell snagged the first Austrian speed win of the season. Swiss Didier Cuche finished third to snap a two-race win streak, but retained the World Cup downhill points lead as Erik Fisher (Middleton, ID) and Travis Ganong (Squaw Valley, CA) stormed into the top 15.
